The Opportunity

A well-established mechanical services group is expanding its HVAC construction capability and is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of the division.

This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who wants to drive operational performance, strengthen project delivery, and guide a growing team working across Sydney’s commercial sector.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll take full responsibility for the end-to-end performance of the HVAC construction business unit. You’ll be the key person ensuring projects run efficiently, teams are supported, and clients receive a high standard of service.
Your role will include:
  • Managing the delivery of multiple HVAC construction projects simultaneously
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and operational oversight
  • Mentoring project managers, supervisors, and field teams to build capability
  • Overseeing procurement, subcontractor engagement, and quality control
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring projects meet program milestones, safety requirements, and financial targets
  • Supporting strategic planning, resourcing, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Driving a culture of professionalism, technical excellence, and accountability
Who You Are

We’re seeking an experienced leader with deep industry knowledge and the confidence to run a busy division. You will have:
  • Significant experience in HVAC/mechanical services at a senior management or operations level
  • A history of managing business unit performance, budgets, and staffing
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence financial and operational outcomes
  • Excellent leadership skills and a track record of building high-performing teams
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical services installations and commissioning
  • The ability to juggle competing priorities while maintaining control of program, cost, and quality
  • Clear and confident communication skills across clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
  • A high level of professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail
