Job description
Our client provides specialist and impartial advice relating to coastal and water engineering and water flow assurance, utilising physical and numerical modelling, National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited facilities and extensive data collection programs in water, sewer, stormwater, irrigation, coastal, riverine and environmental systems.
Currently they are looking to engage a Senior Coastal Engineer for an initial 12 month contract, based in Manly Vale.
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake a range of oceanic / marine, coastal, estuarine and hydraulic engineering investigations. In this role you will work with senior staff members on projects involving coast and marine studies, including physical and/or numerical modelling of coastal structures and coastal processes.
The role is responsible for delivering a range of coastal, estuarine and oceanic engineering investigations, designs and modelling projects. This role will work with senior and junior staff members to facilitate and lead the completion of larger projects, as well as assist clients with enquiries and contribute to promoting the services of the laboratory.

Essential requirements
- Demonstrate proven extensive experience delivering coastal engineering projects with extensive experience in coastal hazards assessment, concept design development, detailed design and physical and numerical modelling of waves coastal infrastructure interactions.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget with competing priorities.
- You will also have strong customer service and relationship building skills, and a dedication to providing exceptional client service at all times.
