A reputable, privately owned commercial builder is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their close-knit team in Sydney. The business operates with a flat management structure, giving Project Managers direct access to the Director and full ownership over project delivery.
The company delivers a strong pipeline of commercial fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects, typically valued between $1M–$8M, across sectors including hospitality, retail, workplace, education, and general commercial construction. The Role
You will report directly to the Director and take full responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion. This is a hands-on role with a high level of autonomy, suited to someone comfortable running multiple fit-out and construction projects simultaneously.

The Role

- Full project lifecycle delivery, including procurement, programming and cost control
- Managing site teams, subcontractors and consultants
- Running project programmes and ensuring milestones are achieved
- Client liaison throughout delivery
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager with a builder
- Experience delivering commercial, hospitality, retail or fit-out projects
- Comfortable running projects valued at $1M–$8M
- Strong programming and coordination skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (or similar)
- Ability to work in a small team environment with a high level of responsibility
