Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end accounts payable and receivable
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Processing payroll, including superannuation and statutory obligations
- BAS preparation and lodgement support
- Maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and key stakeholders
- Managing invoicing, collections, and supplier payments
- Supporting budgeting and cash flow forecasting activities
- General administrative duties to support the wider business
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a similar Bookkeeping or Accounts role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar systems
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and improve processes
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- Experience within agriculture, farming, or a related industry
- Exposure to multi-entity or group structures
- Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and tax requirements
