Job description

Due to a number of new projects awarded, my client are now seeking applications from Project Managers to work with them across a number of rail projects (traction (HV), electronic and technology)
  
Your ability to plan, manage and lead your own projects will see you succeed in delivering a program of works as part of a terrific team. Through your ability to assimilate project and technical information, and a keen eye for detail, you will demonstrate your capabilities.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as the point of contact for the project's customer.
* Be involved in developing project concepts and tender responses as required. This may include preparing proposals, budgets, providing input, developing design concepts, etc.
* Coordinate all activities relating to a project to deliver agreed deliverables within set deadlines and budgets.
* Manage the project’s contract
* Identify, assess, manage and report project risks and issues.
* Facilitate the handover of a project to the production team at an appropriate stage for the project.
* Lead and contribute to development of project management practices and systems across the company.
* Supervise other staff as allocated within both project and business organisation charts.
  
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (mechanical, electrical or electronics)
* Qualifications and/or training in Project Management (required)
* Experience in Project Management (required)
* Comfortable in leading a small team
* Experience in developing and maintaining a successful team (required)
* Experience in the rail industry, understanding it’s expectations and needs (advantageous)
