Project Manager – Water Main Renewals
Location: Western Sydney
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Competitive daily rate
Duration: 3-month contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-regarded Water Infrastructure company based in Sydney. This is a short-term contract role managing critical water main renewal projects, with an immediate start available.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle – from commencement through to close out. The role involves managing a team of Project Engineers and Supervisors, interfacing with customers, and collaborating closely with key internal stakeholders such as Tendering, Finance, and Delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of water main renewal projects
  • Lead Project Engineers, Senior Supervisors, and Supervisors
  • Maintain strong customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Take full ownership of budget tracking and financial reporting
  • Collaborate with Tendering and Estimating teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard
Experience Required
  • Proven experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally within a Water or Wastewater environment
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated experience with budget tracking and project reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced delivery environment
