Project Manager - Civil Infrastructure
Tier 2 National Contractor | Queensland Growth Role
 
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing Tier 2 national civil contractor as they continue to expand their Queensland operations.
 
This business delivers multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects across roads, airports, ports, pavements, utilities and bulk earthworks, as well as renewables, contamination remediation, marine and wastewater works. With a strong and healthy order book in Brisbane and the recent award of a $15m project in Central Queensland commencing January 2026, they are now looking to strengthen their leadership team.
 
The Opportunity
 
Reporting into senior leadership, you will initially take ownership of the delivery of a major project in Central QLD while also becoming an integral part of the wider Queensland business. Beyond this first project, the role is designed to evolve, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to play a key role in the strategic growth of the QLD operations.
 
This position offers a clear and genuine career pathway for the right individual to progress into Construction Manager and ultimately State Manager as the business continues to grow organically.
Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end delivery of complex civil construction projects
  • Leadership and management of site and project teams
  • Program, cost, risk and commercial management
  • Client and stakeholder relationship management
  • Driving safety, quality and environmental outcomes
  • Contributing to the growth and leadership of the QLD business
About You
  • Proven experience delivering complex civil construction projects
  • Background working within a Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractor environment
  • Strong leadership, commercial and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate both on site and within a head office environment
  • Flexible and willing to work away from home as required
Location & Flexibility
 
The role will initially be project-based, requiring 2-3 days per week on site in Central Queensland, with the remaining time based in the Brisbane office. As such, candidates must be flexible and comfortable with regular travel.
