*Trade qualification required
*6-month temp-to-perm position
Rates
$65.62 - $75.46/hr
+ Penalties up to $131.20/hr
About the Opportunity
A leading manufacturing plant is on the lookout for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join one of Australia's most advanced manufacturing operations, based in Henderson. This facility is recognised globally for its precision engineering and large-scale composite production, supplying critical solutions to industries including oil & gas, defence, resources, and infrastructure.
You will be part of a highly automated environment that integrates LEAN principles, robotics, SCADA-controlled systems, and advanced material technologies. This is a role suited to tradespeople who thrive in structured, safety-first workplaces and want exposure to world-class engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing machinery, ensuring safe and timely fault-finding.
- Attend breakdown callouts and prioritise operational uptime.
- Maintain a well-organised workshop, applying 5S, TPM, and OH&S practices.
- Refurbish spare components, interpret schematics, and use precision instruments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment design enhancements, and KPI achievement.
- Ensure compliance with API Q1 and ISO9001 quality standards.
- Complete accurate shift reporting, close out maintenance jobs, and assist with audits and training.
- Promote waste minimisation and environmental responsibility across the plant.
Shifts & Rates
- Day shift (6am-2pm)
- Afternoon shift (2pm-10pm)
- Night shift (4pm-12am)
Standard hours are 38 per week, with regular overtime available.
What You'll Bring
