Mechanical Fitter - Workshop Role
An established engineering firm in Cockburn is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team in a workshop-based role. This is a 3‑month temp‑to‑perm opportunity, starting at $55/hr and transitioning to $51.50/hr on permanent placement.

You'll be involved in the assembly, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical lifting systems and associated components. The role is entirely workshop-based, offering hands‑on mechanical fitting with variety and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical assembly and maintenance of lifting equipment
- Fault finding and repair of mechanical systems
- Safe use of hand/power tools, overhead cranes, and lifting gear
- Adhering to safety procedures and quality standards
- Maintenance background in Mechanical Fitting or Fabrication
- Welding experience (advantageous)
- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting/fabrication (desirable)
- Confined Space & Working at Heights tickets
- White Card & valid Driver's Licence
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work independently
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- $55/hr + Super (temp)
- $51.50/hr + Super (perm)
- 3‑month temp‑to‑perm pathway
- Workshop-based role (no site travel)
