As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth delivery of both service and minor works projects (up to $500k). This position combines technical expertise with leadership, client management, and operational oversight — playing a key role in the ongoing growth and efficiency of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting pricing and proposals for minor works projects (up to $500k).
- Acting as the main point of contact for service clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Providing technical support to a small team of technicians, assisting with troubleshooting.
- Overseeing scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation across service and projects.
- Monitoring budgets, compliance, and performance to ensure projects are delivered on time and to spec.
- Supporting the Managing Director with reporting, forecasting, and business improvements.
- Driving safety, quality, and compliance with Australian Standards and WHS requirements.
We’re looking for someone with both technical knowledge and strong leadership skills. To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical/HVAC or Building Services (preferred).
- 3–5+ years’ experience in HVAC service or project management.
- Technical expertise across mechanical systems such as chillers, boilers, VAV, PAC, VRF, and BMS.
- Demonstrated success pricing and delivering minor works projects up to $500k.
- Proven ability to support and lead a team of technicians.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and industry best practice.
