Who you will be working for:
  • We are helping a privately owned Australian builder to appoint an experienced General Foreman for a landmark $100M refurbishment project in the Sydney CBD. The project will incorporate retail, hospitality, office space and leisure facilities
  • This builder is widely regarded for delivering complex projects in live-environment projects, with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and long-term relationships across the commercial and institutional sectors.
  • They invest heavily in their people and pride themselves on running organised, well-resourced sites.
The Role:
  
As General Foreman, you will be the driving force on site, responsible for the day-to-day coordination and leadership of all construction activities. This is a highly visible role on a complex refurbishment requiring strong planning, sequencing and stakeholder management skills.
  
This is a pivotal role supporting the Site Manager and coordinating multiple Foreman underneath. Salary will depend on experience however figures of $190K – $220K can be expected.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and coordinating all site trades, supervisors and subcontractors
  • Managing complex staging, interfaces and live-environment constraints
  • Driving programme milestones and maintaining momentum on site
  • Upholding best-practice safety, quality and site standards
  • Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Team to resolve issues proactively
About You
  • Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Foreman on large-scale refurbishment or complex commercial projects in CBD locations with tier two builders 
  • Experience with cranage in build up or CBD locations
  • Strong knowledge of refurbishment sequencing, services integration and tight site logistics
  • A leadership style that earns respect on site and gets the best out of subcontractors
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with a high standard for quality and safety
  • Confidence working in fast-paced, high-profile CBD environments
