The Role
As Site Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage all maintenance operations to ensure production uptime, asset reliability, and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a safety-first, high-performance maintenance culture, ensuring WH&S compliance across the site
- Drive the Preventative Maintenance program and reliability initiatives, monitoring KPIs and maintenance metrics
- Plan, prioritise, and manage all maintenance activities, including breakdown response, plant inspections, and reliability improvements
- Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling to optimise resources, reduce downtime, and improve production efficiency
- Manage trade technicians and contractors, including rostering, performance management, development, and training compliance
- Support new product introductions by ensuring maintenance readiness and equipment reliability
- Lead capital projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring alignment with maintenance and production strategies
- Work closely with production, QA, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify and implement process and equipment improvements
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and Australian Standards, maintaining product quality and operational integrity
- Proven experience in maintenance management in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
- Strong background in planning, organising, and prioritising maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing maintenance team
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, able to work across production, quality, and operational teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing KPIs, budgets, and maintenance performance metrics
- Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, and Australian Standards
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment
