CGC Recruitment are partnering with a leading food manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Site Maintenance Manager for a fast-paced production site in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing maintenance team, optimise plant reliability, and play a key role in sustaining world-class production standards.

The Role

As Site Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage all maintenance operations to ensure production uptime, asset reliability, and compliance. 

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a safety-first, high-performance maintenance culture, ensuring WH&S compliance across the site
  • Drive the Preventative Maintenance program and reliability initiatives, monitoring KPIs and maintenance metrics
  • Plan, prioritise, and manage all maintenance activities, including breakdown response, plant inspections, and reliability improvements
  • Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling to optimise resources, reduce downtime, and improve production efficiency
  • Manage trade technicians and contractors, including rostering, performance management, development, and training compliance
  • Support new product introductions by ensuring maintenance readiness and equipment reliability
  • Lead capital projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring alignment with maintenance and production strategies
  • Work closely with production, QA, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify and implement process and equipment improvements
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and Australian Standards, maintaining product quality and operational integrity 
The Successful Candidate
  • Proven experience in maintenance management in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
  • Strong background in planning, organising, and prioritising maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing maintenance team
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, able to work across production, quality, and operational teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing KPIs, budgets, and maintenance performance metrics
  • Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, and Australian Standards
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-output environment
