We’re looking for an experienced Fire Systems Service Technician to join our team and support a growing portfolio of commercial, retail, and residential clients across the city.

This is a fully remote, self-managed role where you’ll be on the road and working from home. You’ll be trusted to plan your own workload while delivering high-quality fire systems servicing and compliance work.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

Fire System Servicing & Compliance
  • Inspecting, testing, servicing, and signing off fire safety equipment and systems, including:
    • Fire panels
    • Fire alarms
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Fire hose reels
    • Automatic Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (AFDAS)
    • Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS)
  • Producing Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS) across a variety of buildings
  • Performing Inspect & Test procedures to meet compliance and performance requirements
  • Troubleshooting system faults and ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reports
Client Interaction
  • Building strong relationships with strata managers, building owners, retail operators, office managers, and other commercial clients
  • Providing clear communication, explanations, and updates on system performance and compliance
Required Experience & Skills Technical Requirements
  • Proven experience in maintaining and servicing fire systems, with strong capability in:
    • AFDAS
    • EWIS
  • Annual Endorsement Accreditation in:
    • Automatic Fire Detection & Alarm Systems – Level 1 (Level 2 preferred)
    • Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems
    • Fire Alarm Monitoring
    • Fire Control Centres and Rooms
  • If not fully accredited, you must be actively working toward endorsement or able to show clear potential to achieve it
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage service schedules across city locations
  • Design and/or installation experience (preferred)
