We are seeking an experienced Freight & Customer Service Supervisor to lead a small, dynamic team in Western Australia. This hands-on role is responsible for managing customer service and freight operations, ensuring that service levels, KPIs, and operational efficiency are consistently met. You will oversee day-to-day team activities, resolve customer issues, and coordinate freight scheduling across inbound and outbound operations.

We are seeking an experienced Freight & Customer Service Supervisor to lead a small, dynamic team in Western Australia. This hands-on role is responsible for managing customer service and freight operations, ensuring that service levels, KPIs, and operational efficiency are consistently met. You will oversee day-to-day team activities, resolve customer issues, and coordinate freight scheduling across inbound and outbound operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team handling customer service inquiries and freight coordination.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs and cost targets, providing coaching and support where needed.
- Take ownership of customer issues, following problems through to resolution in a timely manner.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth freight operations.
- Ensure all freight requiring bookings is scheduled accurately to align with customer requirements.
- Compile reports, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Promote a positive, proactive, and customer-focused team culture.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service or freight supervision role.
- Understanding of the transport, logistics, or warehouse industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer systems and able to learn new software quickly; SAP experience advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, positive approach.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop a team while taking responsibility for key operational functions.
