The Company 
They have a great reputation delivering the civil components of these works and are looking for you to run with a project and will be working with experienced engineers and subcontractors to assist with your delivery of the project. You will work with clients that have changed the face of the Australian landscape with their constant and well established investment into creating landmark motorway infrastructure projects.

Purpose of the Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance functions of the procurement, subcontracts, employee/timekeeping system and ensuring that the correct steps are followed by all management in the checking of costs and procurement process for the spending within the company 

The Role 
The role supports the successful delivery of communication plans that meet key accountability to the Director Communication and Engagement, Head of Project Communications and project leaders.
  • • To ensure that current systems are being utilised fully.
    • Implementation of more stringent measures in relation to the approval of manhours on our projects. Working with the accounts team to get 100% compliance in the system being used and ensuring the correct level of review of invoices takes place for subcontractors prior to payment.
    • Ensure all invoices are responded to with comments in accordance with SOPA requirements and taking a lead on the downstream management/disputes within the business.
    • Updating and improving the coins software in the company to allow it to cover all costs within the business and ensure that approvals are completed with all projects managers in a timely manner.
    • Production of month end project reports and reporting to the board on a month-to-month basis as well as challenging of discrepancies which may arise during a reporting session.
    • Ongoing improvements to reporting.
    • Provide support to the CFO & senior management as required.
    • Provide training and support to project teams. This is to ensure that all personnel in the organisation understand business processes and their roles in the processes

Key criteria 
  •  Tertiary qualifications in Finance, majoring in accounting
  •  2-3 years’ experience in financial systems or accounting role
  • Construction Experience
