Our client is a privately-owned construction company based in Australia that provides a range of construction services, including Utiltties, Road and Civil construction projects. The company was founded in 2013 and operates primarily in the New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria regions of Australia.
The NSW arm of the business has been operating for nearly 10 years and are based Southwest of Sydney CBD. Their projects typically range from $1M to $50M in the Rail, Water, Road, Tunnelling and Energy sectors with a T/O of around $150M.
The role – Estimating Manager
There is an exciting and rare opportunity for an Estimating Manager to come into the senior leadership team. You will be managing at team of 5 and be fully responsible for the Estimating/Pre Construction side of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the estimating process from start to finish, ensuring that cost estimates are accurate and timely
- Work closely with project managers and architects to understand project specifications and requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the most competitive pricing is obtained
- Ensure that estimates are in line with project budgets and timelines
- Review and analyse bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
- Manage the estimating team and provide training and development opportunities as required
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
- Experience with a similar size contractor as a Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager role
- Strong understanding of building plans and specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
