Pharma Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter

• Full Time permanent position
• Shift – DAYS M-F 7AM-3PM 
• Hourly rate- circa $50-55 experience dependable  
• Must be Citizen or PR

The role

We’re recruiting a permanent Maintenance Fitter for a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer operating a highly automated, GMP-regulated facility in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Candidates with maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, FMCG, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments will be highly regarded, particularly those with exposure to automated packaging and processing equipment such as blister packers, filling lines, and sterilisation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day efficient operation and reliability of plant equipment
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance across production and packaging lines
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime
• Support process improvements and reliability initiatives across the plant
• Maintain and repair pipework, valves and process pumps
• Service and maintain conveying systems including screw and belt conveyors
• Work on boilers, steam systems and associated plant equipment
• Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Assist with installation, upgrades and project work
• Provide technical support to the production team
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Quality, OHS and GMP requirements

Experience:

• Trade Qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar role in Manufacturing environments.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work autonomously and be a self-starter to be a part of an engaged team.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
