Electrical Fitter - Workshop-Based (Perth, Eastern suburbs)
*6-month contract-to-perm

A leading provider of engineering and maintenance solutions is seeking experienced Electrical Fitters to join their high-performance workshop team in Perth's eastern suburbs. Known for supporting major projects across mining, rail, and heavy industry, this organisation delivers precision component rebuilds and testing services to Tier 1 clients across Australia.

With a strong safety culture and a commitment to Lean practices, the team operates in a modern, well-equipped facility focused on reliability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Roster:

$59.28hr (Dayshift): Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
$71.14hr (Afternoon Shift): Monday to Thursday, 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm & Friday, 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Key Duties

Strip, inspect, and rebuild heavy mobile and rail components
Measure and assess critical journals, bores, and mechanical interfaces
Perform cable joint insulation and brazing tasks
Requalify bearings, pinions, and rotating assemblies
Conduct no-load testing and vibration analysis
Apply Lean principles to improve safety and efficiency
Contribute to a proactive safety-first culture across the team

What You Bring

Trade qualification in Electrical Fitting or Electrical Machine Repair
Hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, alternators, or rotating equipment
Familiarity with industrial motor types (GE, EMD, or similar) highly regarded
Strong measurement and inspection skills
Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
Willingness to learn and grow within a high-performing team

Pay & Perks

Competitive hourly rates:
- Days: from $59.28hr
- Afternoons: up to $71.14hr
Penalty rates for public holidays (up to 150%)
