CGC Recruitment have partnered with a long standing client Nationally who are at the forefront of the infrastructure boom in QLD and deliver major projects across a number of sectors including Roads, Rail, Defence and Resources.

They are currently involved in the delivery of one of Brisbane's most iconic infrastructure projects of the last 20 years and have immediate contract requirement for a Project Engineer to assist in the deliver of a major Brownfield Construction projects.

One of their site teams have an immediate need for a Project Engineer to provide gap relief for a full time employee for the next 6 weeks so as to not loose momentum during a critical period of construction., The role will have a 2 week handover with the existing Engineer then carry out works for the whole of January which will include;

- Tracking and forecasting

- Manage subcontractors to safely deliver works

- Daily Site progress and planning meetings

- Planning, design management, onsite co-ordination

The role will be suited to an Engineer who is in between contracts and is looking for a short term opportunity to keep busy on the run up to Xmas and up until the end of Jan which is usually a quiet period. Or if someone is looking to get a foot in the door with a Tier 1 Contractor on an iconic Infrastructure projects, now is the time as the scope to continued work next year is very strong!

Applicants should be able to start Monday as a minimum and can be paid either ABN or as PAYG on CGCs books.

Selection Criteria:

- Minimum 5 years Site based Construction experience

- Degree Qualified Civil Engineer or Equivalent

- Experience working in a brownfield construction environment is preferred

- Must be a self start who can mentor junior engineers

- Methodical when it comes to planning and preparation
