Job description

CGC Recruitment is representing a national engineering firm seeking a Civil Designer (Civil 3D or 12D user) to join their team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse, project-based assignments within a collaborative national team.

As a Civil Designer, you will perform civil engineering technical tasks ranging from medium to high complexity. You will work independently while collaborating closely with the team to deliver high-quality engineering models and drawings efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project teams with civil engineering design, project management, and defining design parameters.
  • Develop civil engineering models in line with approved design parameters.
  • Collaborate with other civil engineering designers throughout project lifecycles.
  • Resolve complex civil engineering design challenges.
  • Conduct design checks to ensure compliance with project parameters.
  • Communicate design components accurately to project teams.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Technical College qualification (Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or approved equivalent).
  • 5–7+ years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering, including Roads, Stormwater Drainage, and Earthworks Design.
  • Competency in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to develop Civil 3D or 12D road surfaces, pipes, and earthworks models to national standardised frameworks.
  • Experience coordinating in-ground infrastructure with relevant authorities.
  • Ability to read and apply local state standards.
