The Role
 
As the Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will take ownership of the Electrical Building Services scope on a major rail infrastructure project based on Brisbane's southside.
 
Reporting into both the Project Manager (site-based) and the National General Manager - Engineering, you will operate at the interface of delivery and strategy, contributing to both project success and broader engineering leadership in Queensland.
 
This role will see you acting in a capacity similar to an Electrical Building Services Manager, with a strong focus on coordination, delivery, and stakeholder engagement across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the electrical scope (HV & LV) within a major rail project
• Manage design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover
• Interface closely with Mechanical and Civil teams to ensure seamless integration of services
• Oversee subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and program requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams
• Drive project outcomes in line with budget, schedule, and client expectations
• Contribute to engineering strategy and leadership initiatives within the QLD business

About You

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years' experience within the construction/infrastructure sector
• Proven track record delivering HV and LV electrical packages on rail infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of building services within complex infrastructure environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage interfaces across multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• A natural leader looking to step into (or continue in) an engineering leadership role
