A well-established industrial business is seeking a Workshop / Technical Support Operator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on workshop or warehouse experience who is looking to develop specialist technical skills. No previous welding experience is required, as full training will be provided by the current specialist ahead of their planned retirement.
This role offers the chance to learn a highly specialised trade within a stable and well-supported environment, working closely with experienced technical staff while gaining exposure to quality testing, workshop processes, and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with product and batch testing, ensuring all items meet required Australian and customer standards.
- Support workshop activities including test welding, hardness testing, and load testing under supervision and training.
- Complete and maintain testing documentation, quality records, and certification paperwork.
- Conduct incoming goods inspections and report any quality or compliance issues.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including preparing customer orders, dispatch coordination, and stock control.
- Participate in stocktakes and inventory monitoring, ensuring accuracy of warehouse records.
- Work alongside the technical team to support testing, reporting, and product quality assurance.
- Liaise with internal teams, transport providers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Previous workshop, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift experience or licence advantageous but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow testing and quality procedures.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- A practical mindset with interest in learning technical or mechanical processes.
- Full training provided – no prior welding experience required.
