Technical Training Superintendent – Transport & Logistics (Geraldton Base)
A leading transport and logistics provider is seeking an experienced Technical Training Superintendent to develop, deliver, and manage all technical and compliance training across their Roads, Port, and Workshop operations. This role is based in Geraldton, with regular travel to operational sites and Perth HQ. Relocation support is available for the right candidate. This position is critical in ensuring all employees meet high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.

A leading transport and logistics provider is seeking an experienced Technical Training Superintendent to develop, deliver, and manage all technical and compliance training across their Roads, Port, and Workshop operations. This role is based in Geraldton, with regular travel to operational sites and Perth HQ. Relocation support is available for the right candidate. This position is critical in ensuring all employees meet high standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement a company-wide technical and compliance training strategy
- Develop structured onboarding, induction, refresher, and upskill programs for drivers, mechanics, and port operators
- Manage and coach a network of Driver Trainers to deliver consistent on-road training outcomes
- Standardise training materials, SOPs, and assessment processes across all divisions
- Ensure training compliance with NHVAS, CoR, Main Roads WA, and Mines Safety regulations
- Oversee training record management, audit readiness, and remediation programs
- Partner with operations leaders to identify skill gaps and build workforce capability
- Manage a small team of Training Coordinators, Driver Trainers, and technical instructors
- Minimum 7+ years in technical training, operational capability, or heavy-vehicle training roles (transport, logistics, or mining)
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance frameworks and on-road training programs
- Experience leading, developing, and scheduling field-based trainers
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and planning skills
- Comfortable balancing hands-on support with strategic oversight
- Lead and shape technical training across a dynamic, operationally diverse business
- Influence workforce capability and compliance across Roads, Port, and Workshop divisions
- Relocation support available for the right candidate
- Work in a collaborative environment with development opportunities and travel between Geraldton and Perth sites
