Opportunity
 
A well-regarded commercial builder is seeking an experienced Contract Site Manager to deliver an aged care fit out and refurbishment project in Canberra.

The successful No.1 Site Manager will oversee site operations within a live aged care environment. Supported by a site-based CA and remote PM, you’ll manage subcontractors, safety, quality, and program to ensure smooth project delivery.

 
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing commercial fit out or refurbishment projects
  • Previous experience delivering healthcare, aged care, or live-environment refurbishments highly regarded
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage trades and subcontractors effectively
  • Proven ability to manage programming, sequencing, and maintain project momentum
  • Solid understanding of quality control, safety compliance, and defect management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with consultants, project teams, and stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day site operations for an aged care refurbishment and fit out project
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure works progress according to program
  • Monitor site safety, quality standards, and compliance across all trades
  • Conduct site inspections, identify potential issues, and implement solutions quickly
  • Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager, CA, and client representatives
  • Ensure the project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards
