Contract Site Engineer - Tier 1 Civil Project | 3-4 Month Contract | ASAP Start | Newcastle, NSW
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a Tier 1 civil infrastructure project based in Newcastle. This is an ASAP start contract role for 3-4 months, supporting key delivery works across pavements, concrete structures, and asphalt operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading principal contractor on a high-profile infrastructure project.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site engineering support across pavement, concrete, and asphalt works
• Set out and survey works in accordance with project specifications
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements, ITPs, and project standards
• Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project managers
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and reports
• Assist with planning, sequencing, and technical problem-solving on site

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure projects
• Strong experience in pavements, concrete works, and asphalting (essential)
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient with survey equipment and engineering software
• Strong understanding of QA processes and civil specifications
• Ability to start immediately or at short notice
