Summary

We are working with a highly regarded, privately owned commercial builder delivering a strong pipeline of projects across Perth, and they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager / Construction Manager into a unique office/site hybrid based position.

This is not a traditional “site delivery” role. Instead, this position is designed for a senior construction professional (ideally Carpentry trade background &or Registered Builder) who has progressed into senior site leadership, and can now bring their practical buildability expertise into the front-end planning and pre-construction process.

You will act as the key link between the pre-construction team and the site delivery teams, ensuring projects are set up correctly before they hit site.

The Role - Senior Site Manager/Construction Manager

Working closely with the construction and pre-construction teams, your focus will be on:

• Reviewing drawings, scopes and design documentation from a buildability and sequencing perspective
• Providing practical construction input into programming, methodology and procurement planning
• Identifying construction risks early and ensuring solutions are implemented before mobilisation
• Supporting the delivery team with technical advice and practical trade-based guidance
• Working alongside estimators, project managers and design managers to streamline delivery outcomes
• Assisting with site set-up planning, staging and construction methodology documentation
• Ensuring a smooth handover from pre-construction into delivery

This is a role built for someone who has “been there and done it” on site, and is ready to influence projects from the office, before problems occur. 

Experience Required;

• A trade background (Carpentry highly desirable)
• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager / Construction Manager on commercial builds
• Strong buildability knowledge across structure, services coordination and finishing trades
• Ability to interpret drawings and provide practical, real-world solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence internal stakeholders
• A proactive mindset – identifying issues before they become problems
• Exposure to D&C environments and fast-paced delivery programs 

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role without being tied to day-to-day site management pressures. No direct reports & no commercial accountability, what we need is someone with an excellent technical understanding & great communication skills. 

This is a full time permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary package ranging from $220-250k TRP depending on experience.
