CGC Recruitment have again partnered with one of their longstanding clients, who are a leading National Civil Contractor who deliver complex infrastructure projects right across Australia. Their key areas of focus includes, Transport infrastructure (Road & Rail), Defence and Renewable Energy (Solar & Wind-farms).

They have recently been awarded a $15ml+ Infrastructure renewal project and have identified the immediate need for a Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of the project and join the business on a full time basis. Reporting to the on site Project Manager, site based activities will involve direct supervision of labour & management of local subcontractors, implementing site safety plans and safe work methods, cost tracing and programming and  preparing progress claims and variations. The bulk of the works will be self perform so we are lookign for a leader who can oversee project work methods and performance and implement corrective actions for efficient utilization of plant and labour.

The project is a brownfield Rail Upgrade in regional QLD working in a remote environment where scope of works will include; demolition of existing structures, pre-cast, installation of steel piling & cross heads, temporary propping install and welding. As of the nature of the project the role will be ran on either a 5/2 or 10/4 FIFO roster from Brisbane airport with travel, accommodation, meals and uplift being provided. The role is a genuine permanent position in oppose to a project role so after the successful delivery of the project the position will return to head office working with the Senior leadership team having input into regional business plans, tenders and strategy where focus will be around transport upgrades such as rail stations, level crossing removals and bridge replacement works. 

This role would be well suited to a driven Project Engineer who is looking to step up to an SPE role and lead the deliver of a complex Rail project in addition to becoming a strategic part of the business for future work in Brisbane and regional QLD. 

Selection Critera:

- Minimum 8 years post graduate experience

- Proven background in the delivery or Brownfield Rail projects  

- Structures & Pilling experience  

- RPEQ would be an advantage 

- Happy to work in remote locations on a 5/2 or 10/4 roster
