Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Alkimos Desalination Project in Perth. This is a contract opportunity with an immediate start, working on a key structural package within a major infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage FRP activities in coordination with Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors
Oversee structural steel and precast installation ensuring alignment with design and program
Liaise with design teams to finalise IFC documentation and resolve technical queries
Coordinate site access and sequencing for follow-on trades and works
Monitor program, productivity, and quality across the package
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications

Requirements

Minimum 7+ years post-graduate experience
Strong experience in structural concrete, precast, and steel installation
Proven track record delivering water-retaining structures
Ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and interfaces
Relevant qualification: BSc Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

Form, reo, pour (FRP) concrete works
Structural steel and precast installation
Approx. $6M structural package

On Offer

Start Date: ASAP
Rate: $90 – $100 per hour + Super
Duration: Contract through to 30 June 2026 (approx. 4 months)
Roster: 5.5/1
Hours: 10-hour days + Saturday every 3 weeks
Location: Alkimos
