Job description

Our client are a NSW State Government Agency who provide insurance and care services to the businesses, people and communities of NSW.

They are currently looking to engage a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 12 month contract. This role is hybrid working with offices in the CBD as well as WFH. The positions is paying $806-$927 per day + super.

The Senior Business Analyst role is using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations. The role is to ensure all stakeholders have a common shared understanding of what the software solution will be to address both operational and end user business processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Undertake analysis on current processes and data to support the development of the business requirements.
  • Managing the process around Governance and assurance activities in the project for example, assurance reviews from regulators like SIRA promontory
  • Jira board management, end to end.
  • Critically review business processes, identify risks, issues and impacts to project delivery.
  • Provide independent and high-level advice and analysis to business leaders on opportunities for process re-engineering.
  • Facilitate changes through the provision of well-researched analysis and information to the business and by ensuring that the requirements for change are clearly identified.
  • Prepare and source a range of project related documents, including status updates and reports.
  • Facilitate training and coaching delivery, as well as identifying individual or group-based skills deficiencies.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serving as a liaison between project stakeholders and end users.
EXPERIENCE:
  • A broad range of experience in business analysis, or Insurance/Financial services industry.
  • Good understanding of JIRA and MS Office
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Relevant tertiary education, or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through extensive practical experience.
  • Highly developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Well-developed MS Excel skills
  • Interpersonal and consultative skills.
