S26 Civil Supervisor

Job description

A high-performing construction & project management consultancy is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor (S26 accredited) to join their team on a casual basis supporting the client-side delivery of a Tailings Storage Facility in Kalgoorlie.

 This role will see you embedded client-side with Northern Star, overseeing the civil construction of a Tailings Storage Facility and supporting safe and compliant project delivery.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will act as the client representative on site, supervising contractors and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervising civil construction works for a tailings dam / TSF facility, including earthworks, embankments, drainage and associated infrastructure
  • Acting as the client-side representative, ensuring contractors meet safety, quality and environmental requirements
  • Monitoring contractor performance, work sequencing and construction methodology
  • Ensuring compliance with site standards, permits and S26 statutory requirements
  • Coordinating with project engineers, contractors and site stakeholders
  • Participating in daily prestarts, safety inspections and site audits
  • Monitoring construction progress and reporting updates to the client team
  • Supporting QA/QC processes including inspections, ITP hold points and handovers
Essential requirements:
  • Section 26 (S26) Statutory Supervisor accreditation – WA
  • Demonstrated client-side supervision experience, ideally on gold mining projects
  • Strong experience in civil construction and earthworks, ideally including tailings storage facilities, dams, embankments or mine infrastructure
  • Proven ability to supervise contractors in live mining environments
  • Strong commitment to safety leadership and site compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
