About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This role will focus on managing and overseeing the cost aspects of new build and refurbishment projects ranging from $5M to $25M. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for new build and refurbishment projects.
• Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts, including change orders, claims, and variations.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or potential cost overruns.
• Reporting: Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Key Requirements:

• Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on projects of $5M to $25M range.
• Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
