Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for new build and refurbishment projects.
- Contract Administration: Manage and administer contracts, including change orders, claims, and variations.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or potential cost overruns.
- Reporting: Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is advantageous.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on projects of $5M to $25M range.
- Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
