Leading, independently owned contractor with a strong presence across QLD & NT, they have been going from strength to strength recently winning multiple projects in the area and branching out into other states. 

They have a great reputation for delivering highly complex projects and have won multiple defence jobs in the NT.

Position Overview

They are seeking a highly skilled, motivated Project Manager to the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects involving both dry and wet fire protection systems. Experience with complex foam systems is a bonus. While experience in defence projects is preferred, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all phases of fire protection projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing fire protection projects, including both dry and wet fire systems.
  • Experience with foam suppression systems is a bonus
  • Experience running multi-million-dollar projects is essential
  • Strong understanding of fire protection principles, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Defence project experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in fire protection and project management are highly desirable.
