Job description

CGC Recruitment are experts in supplying short to medium term Engineering & Project Managment resources to main and mid-tier Civil Contractors and are currently working with a new client to supply a Project Manager for a critical project over a 6 month period. 
 
Our client are a leading multidiscipline contractor who focus on the safe and effective delivery of Civil & Electrical, Utilities packages. They have recently been awarded a complex package of works as part of a major infrastructure project and are in need of a seasoned commercially astute PM to run the project from inception to practical completion. 
 
Managing a small team of staff and have full project responsibility which will include development and control of budgets, reporting of project progress, technical and delivery strategies, risk, project schedules, deliverables, commercial and procurement arrangements. Scopes of work include; street lighting, ITS works, Service relocations, concrete removal and conduit installation. 
 
We are looking to speak to Project Management professionals from a mid-tier hands on civil construction background who have a proven experience in Civil Utilities (in-ground services) projects in a brownfield urban environment. Selection criteria for this role is as follows:
 
- 10 years Civil Construction experience 
- Prior experience with a Civil Subcontractor 
- Seasoned in Forecasting and cost control
- Must have experience with in-ground services in a brownfield environment
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management professional 
- Must be able to management client relationships 
 
The role is a contract position until the end of the year so are looking to speak to project managers who prefer to work as a contractor either as PAYG or via a Pty Ltd. Alternately the client is open to a 6 month fixed term contract as staff.
