The Company:

Our client is a international building contractor who are known for delivering high profile refurbishment projects across the Commercial, Hotel, Education, Defence and Health sectors on projects ranging from $30 to $200m. Their Sydney office is an award-winning builder who have a great reputation with clients and pick up a lot of repeat work. Due to ongoing success they are looking for a few key project based staff from Project Engineers to Design Managers and Contract Administrators and Foreman.

The Role:

As a Project Engineer you are 2IC on a project, responsible for the design coordination, managing and driving consultants and be the pivotal anchor to deliver first class design while managing high class finishes and within budget.
Collaborate internally to maintain cost effective procurement strategies front end and while delivering the project
Identify cost effective design solutions and value engineering.
Managing Compliance inline with ISO and company standards
Manage program reporting to the Site and Project Managers
Compile monthly cost reports (with CA)

Your Background:

You could come from a CA or Site Engineer background however as a Project Engineer within this business you will be expected to understand the commercial and contractual ramifications and be able to manager CA's in your team.
Have solid construction and or fit out and refurbishment experience $10m +
Ability to deal with the pressure and delegate work appropriately.
Confident at managing client expectations and deadlines.
Ability to work in a small high performing team.
Be a team player & lead with strong emotional intelligence.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with people from all walks of life.
