Job description

CGC Recruitment have been engaged by a National specialist Contractor who have recently been awarded a raft of challenging projects including the largest Deconstruction program in the Southern Hemisphere.
This Australian owned contractor are market leaders within their space and offer bespoke Front End Engineering and Construction solutions to a wide range of clients making them a key part of the current Construction boom across Australia. They have projects ranging focusing on Deconstruction/Demolition, Detailed Excavation, Asbestos & Hazardous Waste Remediation and Site Preparation Works.
They have identified an immediate requirement for a Project Engineer to work within the studies and front end engineering team based out of their Brisbane offices. The role will involve performing Front End Engineer Design (FEED)  for a complex multi-phased & multi-disciplinary feasibility study for the closure of a major resources project. Reporting to the National Studies Manager you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking Detailed Quantity Take Offs  
- Development of planning and technical engineering deliverables
- Develop technical cost saving solutions  
- Perform Value Engineering 
- Plan and Problem solve to develop cost saving strategies 
The role is a permanent position and will be office based in Brisbane with occasional/optional site travel on a monthly basis. The role would be well suited to a technically astute engineer with some site based experience but primarily enjoys solving technical engineering issues and developing cost saving engineering strategies. 
Selection Criteria: 
- 5 years post graduate experience
- Engineering Degree (Civil or Mechanical)
- Prior experience on Demolition/Deconstruction projects
- Motivated to work as part of a national team 
- Ability to work to deadlines under pressure 
- Must have previous site based experience
