Job description

Position: Project Engineer
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Location: Sydney CBD
Project Focus: Civil Infrastructure (Paving, Utilities, Excavation)

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage civil infrastructure projects in the Sydney CBD area.
  • Focus on paving, utilities, and excavation aspects of the project.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance and quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation related to quality procedures and processes.
  • Identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly to prevent project delays.
  • Coordinate with testing laboratories and inspection agencies to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to project teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure quality is integrated into the project from the planning stages.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer in civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of paving, utilities, and excavation processes.
  • Previous experience in implementing and managing quality assurance and control processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
