About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day site delivery of projects from establishment through to completion and handover. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, drive programme outcomes and ensure safety, quality and productivity standards are met at all times.
Projects typically range from $5m–$10m and often involve staged works, occupied buildings and tight programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site operations and construction activities
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors and trades on site
- Drive construction programmes and short-term look-ahead planning
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification
- Champion WHS compliance and enforce site safety systems
- Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions and safety inspections
- Monitor quality of workmanship and manage defect rectification
- Coordinate inspections, approvals and handover activities
- Liaise closely with Project Managers, consultants and clients
- Maintain accurate site records, reporting and documentation
- Minimum 7–10 years’ construction industry experience
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial fit-out and refurbishment
- Strong knowledge of building methods, sequencing and services coordination
- Experience working in live / occupied environments
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation and site safety management
- Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and programmes
- Proficient with site reporting systems (Procore experience preferred)
- Trade background or construction qualification highly regarded
