We are helping a mid-tier commercial fitout contractor recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale, technically complex commercial fit-out and refurbishment project in Sydney.
This is a senior, client-facing role suited to a proven construction leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple concurrent projects, and enjoys mentoring and leading high-performing teams.
  
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, overseeing time, cost, quality and HSEQ outcomes. You will play a key role in tendering, early contractor involvement (ECI), commercial management and client relationship management, while providing leadership and guidance to Project Managers, Contract Administrators and site teams.
Projects typically range from $5m–$10m, often within live environments and multi-level buildings.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across pre-construction and construction
• Drive tender strategy, methodology, risk assessment and pricing reviews
• Manage head contracts, subcontracts, variations, claims and forecasting
• Oversee project financial performance, cost reporting and cash flow
• Develop and manage detailed construction programmes
• Chair client and stakeholder meetings and present key deliverables
• Lead, mentor and develop project teams
• Champion safety, quality and environmental performance across sites

About You

• Minimum 10 years’ construction industry experience
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Project Manager
• Strong background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment
• Proven delivery of projects in the $5m–$10m range
• Excellent commercial acumen and contract administration expertise
• Confident managing senior clients and consultants
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Procore (Jonas experience desirable)
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or similar (preferred)
