Job description

We are looking for an experienced Program Officer to join our client, an NSW State government agency, on a contractual basis.
  • 2 month contract opportunity with NSW State Government
  • 35 hour working week 
  • Immediate start required
  • Offices are based in Mt Druitt,NSW
  • $53.30 per hour plus Super
Primary purpose of the role:
This position is essential to the functioning of Asset Regions in Support the local administration and delivery of the Department's maintenance contract. Assist in the management of lawns and grounds contract.

Key accountabilities:
  • Develops, implements and manages a planned program of maintenance by analysing Property Assessment Survey (PAS) data, utilising local knowledge to support the organisation’s housing portfolio property maintenance program on allocated properties
  • Provides both proactive and effective contract administration through the development of office estimates including attend on site (as required) and supporting negotiations with contractors in relation to quotations
  •  Ensures that works are appropriately delivered and that strategies and action plans are put in place to rectify work issues where applicable.
  • Develops scopes of work for exceptional internal activities and statutory and regulatory items such as disability modifications, in collaboration with relevant professionals such as Occupational Therapists as required.
  • Ensures compliance with Building Code of Australia, LAHC standards, policies and Contract Guidelines when issuing work to contractors
Experience:

• Knowledge of Contract Guidelines, department standards and policies together with the capacity to interpret and apply guidelines, standards and policies;
• Good analytic skills to support the development of key projects, review, monitor and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery within the department.
• Meeting project deadlines and budgets in line with agreed standards and milestones; and residential experience and/or a trade certificate

MUST HAVE:
  • Eligibility work full-time in Australia 
  • MUST BE DOUBLE VACCINATED 
  • Sound experience or exposure, to a variety of computer systems including but not limited Excel, near maps or similar, Adobe and MS Project skills desirable
  • Applicants that have residential experience and/or have a trade in the following, electrical, plumbing, carpenter is preferred
