National Account Manager – Major Grocery Account

Salary: Up to $150k + Super + Benefits

The Opportunity
An established, fast-growing food business is seeking an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of a major national grocery retail account. This is a high-profile role managing a significant, chilled and frozen food portfolio with strong growth potential across the Australian supermarket sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day management of a large grocery retail account, building and maintaining senior-level relationships.
  • Develop joint business plans (JBP) to drive category growth and improve market share.
  • Analyse market and category data to identify trends, improve planograms, and refine promotional strategies.
  • Forecast, budget and manage full P&L, ensuring profitability and effective trade spend.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in procurement, product development, and logistics to meet customer needs.
  • Identify new product opportunities and develop strategic initiatives for ongoing growth.
About You
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience managing major grocery or FMCG retail accounts.
  • Strong commercial and strategic skills, with a proven record of growing high-value customer relationships.
  • Data-driven mindset with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field are desirable but not essential.
