4–6 Month Contract | Major Projects $500m+ | Early 2026 Start

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team on a 4–6 month contract, commencing early 2026. This is a key role supporting a pipeline of large-scale Health and Defence projects, each exceeding $500 million in value. You will play a pivotal part in providing accurate, timely and robust cost estimates during critical project phases.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team on a 4–6 month contract, commencing early 2026. This is a key role supporting a pipeline of large-scale Health and Defence projects, each exceeding $500 million in value. You will play a pivotal part in providing accurate, timely and robust cost estimates during critical project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end estimating activities for complex, large-scale capital works projects
- Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates and risk-adjusted budgets across various project stages
- Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation to produce high-quality estimates
- Manage and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide expert advice on cost risks, opportunities, value management and procurement strategies
- Support bid, feasibility and business case deliverables for major Health and Defence infrastructure
To be successful, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator on projects $500m+
- Strong background in Health, Defence or other complex infrastructure sectors
- High proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and cost-planning methodologies
- Exceptional analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver under tight timeframes
- A collaborative approach and strong attention to detail
- Duration: 4–6 months
- Start: Early 2026
- Location: Sydney
