Maintenance Fitter required for Food manufacturing site 

• Shift - Late days 
• Monday – Thursday – 11AM-7PM, Friday 6AM-2PM
• $48-55ph - experience dependable 
• PR OR Citizen only 

We’re looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a successful, well known, Food manufacturer. Due to the nature of the role, a background in food manufacturing maintenance is essential. The company produces a range of supermarket sold goods and have high standards in the quality of their products and stuff.

The role

As a skilled Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter, the role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from project work & insulations through to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem solving. 
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of Plant Equipment. 
• Maintenance of plant and equipment inc; Preventative maintenance.
• Diagnostics and fault finding. 
• Process improvement of plant and equipment.
• Pipework and valves.
• Process pumps.
• Screw and belt conveyors.
• Boiler and steam equipment.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Operate & Service Machinery. 
• Provide technical support to the production team.
• Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, and HACCP guidelines.

Experience:

• Trade Qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar role in Manufacturing environments.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work autonomously and be a self-starter to be a part of an engaged team.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
