Role Overview
The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of Dry Operations Warehouses while maintaining high service and quality standards for customers as part of the companies rail business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop warehouse teams, mentoring supervisors and staff to promote strong leadership, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Ensure safety and compliance, upholding WHS, HR, IR, and company policies to drive a zero-harm culture.
  • Plan and manage warehouse operations to meet safety, service, quality, and cost targets.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, ensuring timely communication and resolution of delivery issues.
  • Promote quality and continuous improvement, championing system compliance and operational innovation.
  • Monitor performance and KPIs, reporting on staff output, equipment, and site conditions.
  • Optimise resources and efficiency by planning shifts, allocating labour, and prioritising workloads.
  • Support communication and engagement through meetings, documentation, and team collaboration.
  • Work closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement and achieve branch targets.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in operational supervision or management roles.
  • Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry.
  • Experience in warehouse management systems, freight tracking, and FMCG operations in Western Australia.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and commitment to operational excellence.
