Job Title: Joinery Draftsperson
Location: Canterbury-Bankstown area, NSW
Salary: A$90,000 - $110,000 + Super, depending on experience
Employment Type: Full Time
About the Role: Our client, a leading manufacturer and installer of custom furniture and joinery solutions for corporate offices, hotels, restaurants, and residential projects across Sydney, is seeking an experienced Joinery Draftsperson to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality bespoke joinery projects, from concept to installation, in a company that values craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings for custom joinery projects.
- Generate accurate cutting lists and material schedules.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and tradespeople to ensure designs are practical and buildable.
- Maintain a strong understanding of trade materials, hardware, and construction methods.
- Assist in planning and coordinating multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Review and revise drawings based on client feedback or design adjustments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and workflow within the joinery department.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, or a related trade with hands-on experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cabinetmaking or detailed joinery.
- Skilled in AutoCAD 2D & 3D; experience with TopSolid and AlphaCam preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings and specifications.
- Excellent understanding of trade materials, hardware, and joinery techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
