Job description

CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our main tier clients to source a HSE Adviser to provide immediate Safety support across smaller Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrades.

The role will involve site based safety support across a number of existing project and also ensure safety plans and practices are implemented correctly during project start ups. The role will be a mix of office based with regular site visits and expected to produce work health and safety management plans, provide proactive safety advice to site management and engineering staff and implement and maintain a safety management system focusing on contractor management.

The position will report into the Safety Manager and will be based primarily in their Brisbane HQ but will involve regular site based visits so applicants should be prepared to do bits of travelling and the occasional overnight stay with accommodation fully provided.

Selection Criteria:

- Minimum 5 years in an on site safety role

- 10 years total civil construction experience

- Must possess experience working Water infrastructure projects such as Pipelines, WTP, STP etc

- Clear communicator to implement safety practices on site

The role is a contract position from now until the end of the year and will be well suited to safety professionals in between project and interested in local work with a one of SE QLDs most well sort after Civil Contracting businesses.
