About Us We’re a small but growing main contractor specialising in commercial fit out and refurbishment projects across [insert region]. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
We’re looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team on a contract basis, supporting multiple sites and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
The Role You will take ownership of all on-site health and safety matters across our active projects. Working closely with site teams and management, you’ll ensure best practice is implemented and maintained from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee site safety compliance on commercial fit out and refurbishment projects
• Conduct site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
• Review and develop SWMS, risk assessments and safety documentation
• Provide practical HSE advice and support to site managers and subcontractors
• Report on incidents, hazards, and safety performance
• Champion a strong safety culture across all project teams

About You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a practical, proactive approach and solid experience in construction HSE advisory roles.
You will have:

• Proven experience as an HSE Advisor with a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of fit out / refurbishment projects
• Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert IV in WHS or equivalent)
• Construction White Card
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and drive compliance on site
