Job description

Resident H&S Advisor on a $150m project
 
The Company
  • Residential construction
  • Mid – high rise developments
  • Projects range up to $400m, typically are $150-200m
  • Reputable business with suave offices

  • Advocates for women in construction – 15% of workforce are female
The Position – Resident HSE Advisor
  • Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met on-site
  • Investigating accidents and writing reports
  • Identifying potential hazards
  • A comprehensive understanding of H&S systems and programs as well as Risk Management principles
  • Suggesting improvements to working processes
  • Ensuring staff understand safety procedures
  • Checking equipment is safe
  • Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
  • Monitoring environmental impacts
  • Developing and reviewing safety policies and procedures
  • Advising and training staff on best working practices
  • A comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of H&S legislative agencies, relevant legislation, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Guidelines
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role
  • SafeWork NSW “White Card”
  • Tertiary qualifications at degree or associate diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental Management or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of conceptual and problem-solving skills
Salary range $110k + super
