Job description

We are looking for a Grants Assessment Officer to support the Grant Manager with all aspects of the project implementation, including preparing, managing, and monitoring project plans, given tight deadlines and limited resources.
  • 6M Contract opportunity with the NSW State Government
  • Based in Parramatta
  • ASAP Start 
The Client
Our Client is responsible for the delivery and coordination of early childhood, primary school, secondary school, vocational education, adult, migrant and higher education in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Primary Purpose of the Role:
  • Support the Grants Manager (GM) to provide specialist advice to support the ongoing partnership with government commitments
  • Support the GM to ensure the effective and transparent financial management of the grants cycle, including monitoring and tracking of application project budgets in accordance with the organisation policies and procedures
  • Coordinate the delivery of the Grants Programs including managing the receipt of applications and ensuring the grants are delivered

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the assessment of applications for funding
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communication and exchange of information in relation to grant applications  
  • Facilitate consultation with grant recipients and other key stakeholders to support the collection and collation of grant and funding program information
  • Be highly skilled at managing stakeholder relationships to deliver outcomes through effective communication
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
  • Undertake research and analysis to support informed decision making and planning
  • Support team members and work collaboratively to contribute to achieving team outcomes
  • Respond positively to constructive feedback and guidance
  • Show flexibility and commitment to achieving challenging goals
  • Possess a high level of personal motivation and ability to quickly understand project objectives
MUST HAVE:
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia 
  • Previous experience and grant assessment knowledge
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of Government experience 
  • Must have NSW Working With Children Check clearance
  • Must have available 2 references - recent within the last 2 years
