Salary band – $110K – $140K+ super
Hours – Afternoon shift (approx. 1:30PM start)
Team size – 1 x Fitter, 1 x Electrician, 1 x TA
My client, a leading FMCG manufacturer, is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead their afternoon shift maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role offering the opportunity to drive reliability, performance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.
The Role You will be responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, ensuring plant reliability, and leading a small team of trades. The role combines leadership, planning, and hands-on technical support to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise day-to-day maintenance activities across plant equipment
- Coordinate and execute preventative and corrective maintenance
- Provide hands-on support during breakdowns and critical maintenance events
- Drive maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime through effective planning and prioritisation
- Manage CMMS (SAP or similar) to ensure accurate scheduling and reporting
- Analyse maintenance trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety, GMP, and quality standards
- Conduct risk assessments and support safe work practices across the team
- Supervise contractors and ensure work is completed to required standards
- Liaise with production and key stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities
- Support team development through coaching, training, and performance management
- Trade qualified (Electrical or Mechanical)
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or Leading Hand role within FMCG or manufacturing
- Strong hands-on maintenance experience across mechanical and/or electrical systems
- Experience using CMMS systems (SAP highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Understanding of GMP, food safety, and quality standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
