  • Day shift: Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 3:30pm

We’re looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a well-established operator within the industrial sector based in Western Sydney. This is a hands-on role supporting fixed plant equipment in a demanding industrial environment, offering stability, overtime, and long-term career development.

The role
As a skilled Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The role involves preventative maintenance, fault finding, breakdown response, and continuous improvement activities within a safety-focused workplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair mobile and fixed plant equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical systems.
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns in a high-demand environment.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
  • Promote and adhere to site safety policies and procedures.
Experience:
  • Trade qualified (Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Welding and oxy-cutting experience desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in a specialised industry.
  • Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Physically fit and able to pass medical, drug & alcohol screening.
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a police check.
